Collages (2021)

Self-taught artist, graduated in History of Art with a focus on Collage. She finds her influences in the artistic avantgarde movements of the twentieth century, her images are selected from vintage magazines of the 20s and 30s and delicately arranged on sheets of thin black tissue paper. References to music are a common component of her creations. All her collage pieces share a simplicity in their composition, with cut out pictures gracefully placed in the center or slightly shifted towards the sides. Movement is the element at the center of her work: her characters are immortalized in a suspended gesture or floating in space, connected to other elements through simple lines of cotton thread or curves and geometric figures drawn with graphite. She works and lives in Berlin.
